Soiltech awarded contract with PGNiG

Sandnes (Norway), 16 September 2024

PGNiG has awarded Soiltech a contract for the treatment of contaminated water on the semi-submersible, harsh environment rig Deepsea Yantai, operated by Odfjell Drilling. This is a sizable¹ contract for Soiltech. Startup is expected to be in the fourth quarter of 2024.

By treating the waste offshore on the drilling location, without the use of chemicals, we are reducing the amount of waste transported to shore, and thereby reducing the carbon emissions”, says Jan Erik Tveteraas, Soiltech’s CEO.

Soiltech is already treating contaminated water onboard Odfjell Drilling’s Deepsea Aberdeen, Deepsea Atlantic and Deepsea Stavanger.
