Soiltech secures contract with Equinor on FSU

By 24/06/2024No Comments2 min read

Equinor has awarded Soiltech a contract for the treatment of contaminated water on the floating storage unit (FSU), Njord Bravo. Njord Bravo is located on the oil and gas field Njord in the Norwegian Sea.

The contract is a milestone for Soiltech since it will be the first time the company’s slop treatment technology (STT) is used on an FSU. Expected startup is the third quarter 2024.

“While this is a short contract, we are proud to be selected by Equinor for the project. It will give us valuable experience from treating waste fractions onboard an FSU. Subject to the requirement of Equinor’s operations, we might be called out from time to time to perform similar services”, says Jan Erik Tveteraas, Soiltech’s CEO.
