Soiltech has been awarded a contract for treatment of contaminated water (slop) onboard the Deepsea Yantai, which will be undertaking a drilling campaign for Wellesley Petroleum in Norway in Q2 2023.

Soiltech’s slop treatment system (“STT”) is a mechanical technology which treats water contaminated with oil and particles. The treated oil and water may be reused in the drilling process. The STT reduces our client’s environmental footprint and costs by reducing their CO2 emissions through waste reduction, lower energy consumption, reuse and reduced transport of waste volumes to shore.
