Soiltech has won a contract to treat contaminated fluid from pipe cleaning in connection with periodical maintenance on an oil refinery in Europe. The scope of work includes the removal of unwanted residues from the fluid and the recovery of water for reuse in the washing process. The recovered oil is sent back to the refinery. Soiltech is using its proprietary Slop Treatment Technology (STT) to perform the work.

The project is carried out in cooperation with Pipetech International AS.

Jan Erik Tveteraas, CEO in Soiltech, comments: “This is the first time we are treating fluid from pipe cleaning on an oil refinery. It is a new and interesting application of our technologies which could have great potential.”
