Our approach to sustainability

Our purpose is to provide clean technologies for a greener future.

Soiltech will listen to stakeholders and continue to shape our business in a sustainable direction. We acknowledge UN’s 17 Sustainable development goals and we will contribute to reach them by foster innovation within the company to further develop our clean technology that will lead to a greener future.

How we carry out business

We will conduct our business in a socially responsible manner that is consistent with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact.

We respect all internationally recognized human rights, including those embedded in Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the UN Convention on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, the UN Convention on Civil and Political Rights and the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.

These include, but are not limited to, the freedom of association and the right to bargain, and the right to freedom from forced labour, child labour or discrimination in working life. We also respect current standards in International Humanitarian Law.

Climate and environment

Soiltech takes the climate challenges seriously and is committed to contribute to a sustainable future. Our purpose is to continue to develop and utilize clean technologies, solutions and services that serves to support this commitment.

Our efforts are managed through our environmental management system, built on the guiding principles of ISO 14001.

HSEQ

All employees have the authority to and shall stop work if an unsafe situation occurs. We shall manage our activities based on international recognized safety standards. We shall eliminate hazards and reduce HSEQ risks. We shall focus on the communication and implementation of these standards.

Compliance / Transparency Act

Soiltech complies with laws, rules and regulations applicable to its business, including the Norwegian Transparency Act.

The Transparency Act includes requirements for reporting on basic human rights and decent working conditions for own business, supply chain and business partners. Soiltech’s Code of Conduct applies to all Soiltech critical and key suppliers, their subcontractors and third parties. It is the supplier’s responsibility to ensure that its representatives are familiar with this code and to commit to complying with it. Soiltech requires our suppliers to act in such a way that the impact on nature, people and society is both ecologically and ethically justifiable.

The Transparency Act aims to reduce the risk of human rights violations, avoid modern slavery and ensure decent working conditions. Soiltech’s obligations to respect basic human rights are laid down in our core values, Ethical guidelines and in our policy for human rights.

Soiltech’s Anti-Bribery and corruption Policy applies to all employees, officers and director of Soiltech and of all Soiltech’s affiliates World-Wide, as well as any third party intermediaries/representatives such as resellers, contractors or agents.

Soiltech specialises in handling, treating, and recycling contaminated water and solid industrial waste streams. We believe that through our technology we can be a positive contributor to minimize the impact and help preserve life on land.

We will aim to be sustainable in all our choices in regards to how we conduct our business including procurement, chemicals, equipment, energy consumption, emission and waste.
